As a social justice advocate I believe in using my voice to bring awareness to issues people wish to remain blind to. I have been very vocal about failures of our mental health system in Ontario and community interference and opposition to a proposed Supervised Consumption Site in Barrie. Thus I have been in the news a lot lately. Here are some of the ways I have been using my voice in my community.

Christine Nayler says she's on a mission to get a supervised drug consumption site set up in Barrie, Ont., after her son's death. But the local business improvement area is spending $28,000 on a lobbying firm with the goal of having the site moved away from the downtown core, where Nayler and others say it's needed most.
